How to Fly: a beginner's guide
By Stephanie, 10, Cedar Park, Texas, US
Before you fly, clear a run way so you don't hurt anyone (in this case, do it outside).
Ok, now flex your wings out so they're not cramped.
Next, run a for a bit, not as fast as you can go, but fast enough so that you won't be so slow for lift of.
Now, start flapping your wings. If you're not lifting yourself off the ground, flap harder.
Flap until you're in the air.
Next, after you've flown around for a while, find a clear area and start heading downwards.
When you're just a few feet from the ground, put your feet out in front of you and land. Tadah! You just flew for the very first time!!
