Robin Hood meets the Sheriff

When Robin had been walking for about half an hour, he and Big John came across Shirley the Sheriff outside Nottingham Castle gatehouse.

"Sheriff!" shouted Big John.

"John, what did you shout Sheriff for?" asked Robin. "She can't be a Sheriff, she's a lady!"

"But she is the Sheriff said Big John.

Robin was speechless. He couldn't say a word.

"Oh, hello, John," said Shirley in a soft sort of voice.

"Oh, hello, Shirley," said Big John. "We are off to see if we can find the phone box that's strangely appeared near a local restaurant.

"This is my friend Robin," he continued.

"What a coincidence," Shirley said, "I was just on my way there myself, said Shirley, wondering why Big John and Robin would walk so far to find out about a phone box from Dr Who. "I am going to find out about this phone box as it sounds interesting."

After a few minutes of talking, they all set off along Maid Marian Way.
