The Island
By Skevie, 11

As I was flying my kite it was suddenly carried away by a strong wind which carried me across the sky.

"Aahh! Help, help get me down," I screamed.

My kite started getting holes in it. My heart started beating like a drum in a band. As I was being carried across the sky I saw people below me so I began shouting again.

"Get me down I'm scared."

But again no-one heard me. Now I was being carried across the ocean and this brought tears to my eyes. I thought I was going to die. This is my favourite kite and I had won it in a competition. Suddenly my kite began slowing down. It lowered me to the ground. I landed somewhere I didn't expect. I landed on an island.
