Biographical writing

Dragonsville >> Cave of Fame >> Planning a biography

Before you start to write a biography, think about the features of it:

  • Who is the biography about?
  • How old are they?
  • Where are they from?
  • Who are they related to?
  • What have they achieved?
  • Write in a chronological order.
  • Use a mixture of both the dragon’s name and pronouns, (he, she, hers, his, etc.).
  • Use paragraphs throughout the biography.
  • Try to make use of connectives (such as then, before) and conjunctions (such as but, when) to link together clauses into longer sentences.
